Neil,

I didn't know that you had cameras already.

Like you said in your thread, they take getting used to. Mine are 170 degree angle cameras. The rear camera will show cars in either lane to within a few feet of the rear bumper clearly. With the passenger side camera it's weird seeing objects on the screen that are equal to or forward of the front bumper. A narrower field of view is needed.

Other problems.

One problem with mine is that both cameras show a distance grid that I can not remove. It must be built into the camera itself.

A smaller inconvenience is with the 4.3" TFT monitor. When wearing my polarized sunglasses the screen turns black.

Also, the IR diodes burned out on my license plate bracket mounted camera. They can't take running continuously. Probably because there is no heat sink.

The experiment continues...
