with my dual vtec d15b, I can say there are at least 4 operating modes:

12v lean burn
12v standard operation
16v mid cam (vtec1 about 3k rpm)
16v wild cam (dual vtec about5200 rpm)
I'm not running a d15z1 like a lot of you guys-
(jdm ecu 37820-p2j-j62, jdm d15b motor, vx tranny, 4door lx civic)

I want to say XNTRX (hope I spelled that right) said that there was a bunch of combinations of lean burn in 12v and 16v mode, but only within certain windows, as explained in any of the OP's threads (that does not apply to my motor, I'm sure, but I've got a d15z1 in the garage for the next project, so I'm busy learning

I'VE GOT MAD RESPECT FOR ANYBODY BREAKING 40 MPG'S (NON - HYBRID)
-just sayin'
Don't worry I never was offended. lol I'm more of a Honda guy then anything else. I still have a VX engine and trans and ecu. Just looking for another VX civic to put it in.
