Huh...I didn't know that:
1) TRD makes tires
2) said tires and the TRD bumper airdams are "weight-saving features"
3) electricity isn't a fuel, but rather a magical substance that appears in batteries and doesn't have to be counted in calculating mileage
Shoddy reporting of a cheap stunt. Now, we just have to wait for Tesla to do a lap in the Model S so they can claim infinite mpg.
