It's been rainy and I need more coroplast, so no work has been done since Sunday. I'm building a wooden shoe rack in the mean time...
I looked on CL and it appears that Civic shells are available for about $500 down in Arizona and the like. VX's range from $2000 to $5000. I'm thinking it would be fun to get a clean shell, do my first engine swap into it (from Ren) and do some nice modifications for MPG (rear skirt mounts?) before painting the thing nicely and undercoating EVERYTHING. I understand this is a lot of work. We'll see how I feel once I've thought about it for a while. (Practice before I restore the F100?)
I want a "nice" car but I don't want to ruin a clean VX by removing the interior and wiring in a bunch of switches. So I figure another Frankenstein car would suit me well...
Meanwhile, that bicycle fuel is just KILLING my wallet!
