I have a number of crazy project car idea, I'd like to build. The silliest so far has almost nothing to do with economy (but could). Chop and channel a Jeep (CJ?), hot-rod T-bucket style. Lay back the grill and windscreen for a nice agressive look. Tall but narrow tire out back. Very narrow undriven tire in front, maybe ahead of the grill.
Keep the roll bars but chop out a foot of height, so it still looks like a classic Jeep but wildly different.
