Last time I was on that beltway we picked up a bike (suzuki TU250X) in Silver Spring Md. on a Saturday. It took us almost 2.5 hours to get from there to Fredericksburg with my brother driving his manual Nissan pickup. Some of the worst traffic I have seen in years. We got off I95 and drove through downtown Fredericksburg to get on route 17 south for the rest of the trip. Mostly crawling when you need that much time to get maybe 50 miles.

I would love to go but I just can't see voulentarily getting into that without it being essential as it was when we got the bike. It's 3 hours from my home, but I have seen it take 10 plus.
