Soot test.
They'll know it instantly if it has a working DPF or not, just going by the numbers of the soot emissions.
It's how it's done over here in the Boondocks .
The soot test is extra €€€€€€ , of course, and with 80% diesels out here, the fancy test equipment pays for itself.
