Higher gas prices hurt the poor and middle class the most. It ends up being a drop in the bucket to the rich. Also the rich don't have to drive as much as they can afford the higher real estate prices closer to the places they work. The "help" can't afford to live in those communities and often have to come in from 20-30 miles away.
