Smartass... (just kidding!) If you can do all your work by telecommunication, and don't have to drive anywhere, you are not a commuter. That's on a different level of doing business.

Actually I'm somewhere between you and Old Mech and Frank (who are apparently retired). I guess we just don't fit in as daily commuters and can't answer the survey.

My work is varied in that I drive to customers to service them when they call me. That's not the same as a commute that wage earners must do on a daily basis. Some weeks I drive 100 miles, all local driving, some weeks virtually none. It has a lot to do with our stagnant economy. But that's another story...
