I like old import wagons. I like 4x4s. In 2001, the girl I was dating at the time was looking for a car. I found this in an estate. It took me 3 months to get. In 2001 it had 62000 kms (38500 miles). 1987 Toyota Tercel 4x4 wagon. Last week I picked it up to fix a tire on it for her, and you can see the massive amount of mileage she has put on it in the last 13 years.
She walks to work and drives it once or twice a week, it sits in an underground parkade out of the weather the rest of the time. No rust, all she has done in the last 13 years is a muffler and a battery. Tires are still 70%, brakes are mint, thing drives like a new car, and the interior is like new. Needless to say sometimes I wish I had kept it for myself, but I am the top of the list for "If you ever want to sell it..." and sadly, it's an automatic. 4:10 final drive with 13 inch tires and no overdrive! But man these cars are amazing in the snow! She got a promotion at work and asked me what a Pontiac Solstice is worth, I am sensing the time may be coming near for it to change hands!
