Great, true statement about the psychology of the US car buyer: "There's a certain pervasive belief that, somehow, no matter what the car costs, we all deserve the finest-feeling plastics and the best acceleration and that certain aspirational look that tells everyone we're mere weeks away from being able to buy some islands. I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color.
