IMHO, most electrical connectors on modern cars can only be attached in one way. I doubt that reverse polarity would affect a fan. Frankly, it probably doesn't matter in which direction the fan blows, as long as it blows.

Seriously, your problem sounds like it's not a fan problem. I suggest that you go back to the basic advice that Old Mech provided, and do the self-diagnosis one step at at a time. Go back to Square One.

Keep a written log. Don't take any shortcuts or ignore anything. There are only so many possibilities. That's how all problems are solved.
