I have the advantage of being on basically the flattest land possible, but I do face a lot of traffic along with a lot of stop and starts. You have the disadvantage of going up the hills, but you should get infinity mpgs and a good IMA charge coming back down them.

You better watch out :P. Right now with cheap off brand non LRR oversized tires, worn brakes and rotors, missing belly pan under engine bay, and EGR unplugged my average commute to work is 57MPG.
I do need to know why it's pushing coolant into the recovery bottle though. This isn't something I can just ignore as I can't properly bleed the system like this.
