When coasting your car will only consume engough fuel to keep the engine spinning with no load, at that relatively fixed rate of fuel consuption, if your car happens to be moving at 80mph while coasting, your instant mpg would probably be near double that of coasting at 40mph

I completely agree! DWL has certainly been useful.
What I don't like is having to use slightly more throttle to keep myself in top gear on relatively flat terrain with little to no wind.
Anything below 16 TPS and I start to slow down. It's truly aggravating.
Did you happen to see what I said about using cruise control?
