I gassed up today with a calculated 73mpg for this tank. When combined with the previous 96mpg tank, it calculates out to 83mpg. So the high mileage of the previous tank was a combination of pump error and higher mileage. The only change I have made in my car was to add an intake manifold pressure gauge, which makes it easier to monitor when I am in lean burn (its easier note the position of a needle rather than having to read and interpret a digital number on the SuperMID). I used the enter/exit lean burn injector pulse width jump on the SuperMID to tell where on the pressure gauge the engine leaves lean burn and could refer to the gauge after that point to monitor lean burn.
