Somehow, a car's performance can be rated against alike competitors or it is just unfair.
Well I wasn't really trying to argue that, I was just pointing out that even 2 seaters are starting to get pretty heavy. If the Renault is really 995kg that would be extremely impressive.

Nowadays you have mass production carbon fiber cars like the i3, 4C, and I guess you might be able to call the McLarens "mass production" with reasonable looking curb weights, but the cost of the carbon fiber chassis is still staggering, and their curb weights are not really that low.
