Distilled water costs around the same as diesel, and from what I've learned over the years isn't a fuel, but does allow tuning changes to be made that can result in an increase in efficiency. Can you explain how the injected water mist will increase mileage please?
Methanol is $2/L here when I buy 40L (2x 20L drums). Methanol actually mixes with the water and become a fuel in itself. Like you say there is a cost for this, but you only add 10% to your water. Happily my window washer bottle is 5L so I add 500mL and it looks like the it will be 2.5L/tank fuel (~60L tank), so the cost is low. The VW tdi guys are seeing 8-12% fuel savings. But I am yet to prove this, and 'yes' it will take time. There is proof out there for the vw tdi cars, and the big trucks that tow 6.0L +. But I will need to prove this for myself also.

Many people are skeptical, and I'm not here to prove anything to anyone else. I want to increase my mileage because it's fun and because it's great for the environment. If you want to ignore this as a possible fuel saving mod, I'm okay with that. If you are genuinely interested, I'll be sharing my results when I have some solid data, so it'll be free info to everyone. Either way Happy eco-modding blownoiler!
