FYI: I exchanged e-mail with the programmer at Linear Logic on this.

He suggested it might be the ECU is "stuck" on the last non-zero value it had as the engine was stopped, which the gauge is reading. So he asked me to kill the engine while in fuel cut mode with 9999 on the display.

I did, and it still didn't stay at 9999.

It seems to me a simple logic update would be: if RPM is zero, fuel use is also zero.

Will keep you posted.
