Yes, the VM Motori diesel they are using pushes the fe of thier suv's and trucks up to around 30mpg highway. The gas truck gets 25 hwy and the diesel gets 28 hwy.

Fiat/Chrysler will start using direct injection in thier gasoline engines starting in 2016 models so efficiency should increase slightly.
