I have a feeling the EV makers are waiting for gas prices to go over $3.50/gal, every one will freak out, their existing EV inventory will sell out over night, even with a several thousand dollar price premium added to the vehicles and there will be waiting lists where people put money down in advance like people were for the prius a few years ago.
