According to the MPGuino I did 86 MPG going into the shop this morning (temp of 41 degrees), then it started raining and with a northeast headwind I was only able to do 79 MPG coming home (temp 47 degrees). I guess even with these mods I will still be subject to the variable winter weather. But there is no way I would have gotten close to these numbers without the pre-heat and alternator delete. I had to use the headlights both ways.

Rain slaughters the mpg of our small cars. I lost 5-10mpg coming home from a friend's shop last night in heavy rain, 86mpg going down there, only 58 coming back.
