Well the mod sure worked as far as seeing higher intake temps! The weather's been so variable lately I have no idea if it's working to increase FE. I imagine it is just on the physics.
I used a section of metal 4" accordian hose. Removed resonating chamber from behind headlight and slipped hose over intake. Used a rag to seal for now as I'm testing. Ran other end to exhaust manifold.
I've been so busy lately that I can't say what the exact rise is, but I'm seeing 80F in the city today, and 90+F on the highway. Nothing over 100F though. I do notice a reduction in power, but not sucking wind too bad.
