Frank_Lee you might dig this - I used to have a '55 Chev 150 2 door post. It had a rotted frame. The car itself was nothing great, but in my search for a replacement frame, I found a 35000 original mile frame, still sitting on the original 15x5 steel wheels in the original color with the weird little tin inserts that went in the vents on the steel wheels to keep rocks from getting stuck in them. The tires are all '50s/early '60s too. I was told that it was part of a rust free garage find around here, and the guy that bought the car instantly ordered an aftermarket Art Morrison type frame for the car, and sold the original frame with the original 6 cylinder in it to the guy I got the frame from. He just bought it to get the 6 cylinder. The same guy I got the frame from had a legit '32 Ford coupe in his garage that he and his dad had built in the late '70s, complete with pinstriping and all. It's pretty cool what you can find when you are chasing down old car parts! I got the rolling frame complete for $200 as the guy just wanted it out of his yard. I ended up selling the '55 but kept the frame, it was too cool to part with! Worst case I can make a *****in' go kart out of it haha
