+1 for if all cars were EVs then the cleaning up would be very straight forward.
Clean up the coal power plants or phase them out for greener energy sources.
And it's not just CO2 and NOx. There are a plethora of other noxious and/or carcinogenic chemicals generated by internal combustion engines.
It must be tempting for a trillion dollar oil industry to invest a few million dollars to spread enough misinformation to ensure the continuation of said trillion dollar industry.
Not that that would ever happen, i am sure honesty is a higher priority than profits in the oil industry.
