He says they're 87% there parts-wise and 98% there price-wise. He's sacrificing 100% of actual results to chase that 13% and 2% of hypothetical results. As if charging $500 over the marketing hype for a car that's only EPA rated at 81 mpg is worse than not selling any cars.

Agreed 100%. And seriously, why would any intelligent person try to make the perfect car? What would they sell
next year? (Then again, the most intelligent person would sell nothing and still make money...so...)
