Assuming a difference of 20W (x2) each hour of operation will conserve 40Wh, so in 25 hours of operation you will conserve 1KWh. I'll leave it as an exercise to convert KWh to gallons of gas.

You are swapping halogen for halogen? I replaced my 55W Hella H-4s with Chinese LEDs for US$55.00. Similar conservation but more light.

The downside is that the Hella Halogen bulb has a very sophisticated beam pattern, the lows are very flat on top, with more reach down the curbside (different bulbs for left and right hand traffic laws); but the LEDs have a round pattern on low. I have them angled down a little more in consideration of oncoming drivers.
