Change the bulbs H4 60 / 55W by a low energy / power bulbs motorcycle.

For here you can get the bulbs HS1 35 / 35W motorcycle .

Has the same sleeve and the same shape as one H4 bulb 60 / 55W .

In some bikes complain that gives little light bulb HS1 , and some ride the H4 which gives more light.

According Philps and osram :

Bulbs H4 60 / 55W are 1650/1000 lumer .
Bulbs Hs1 35 / 35W are 825/825 lumer .

Hey would change my bulbs h4 60 / 55W for a hs1 35 / 35W to save gas ?

My car has good light.

2X Genuine Philips Bulb Premium Halogen Headlamp 12636 12V 35W HS1 H4 9003 HB2 K | eBay

there has been an error.

bulbs are for my car.

my car has bulbs H4 and was to exchange for a HS1 .

Assuming a difference of 20W (x2) each hour of operation will conserve 40Wh, so in 25 hours of operation you will conserve 1KWh. I'll leave it as an exercise to convert KWh to gallons of gas.

You are swapping halogen for halogen? I replaced my 55W Hella H-4s with Chinese LEDs for US$55.00. Similar conservation but more light.

The downside is that the Hella Halogen bulb has a very sophisticated beam pattern, the lows are very flat on top, with more reach down the curbside (different bulbs for left and right hand traffic laws); but the LEDs have a round pattern on low. I have them angled down a little more in consideration of oncoming drivers.

If I understand correctly you are thinking about this in a car. But for the moto, just FYI, most motorcycles use a stator that produces a constant amount of electricity and shunts whatever it doesn't need to ground. So saving watts on a moto will not improve mpgs.

The stock bulbs on my CBR600 were dangerously dim even though they were standard H7 55w halogens.

I replaced them with cheap HIDs, which most would complain is illegal and inconsiderate, but I am happy with them. Best would be to get a proper projector HID or possibly an LED.

As Bikepilot pointed out, most bikes shunt excess power to ground.

I miss the calculation .

1kwh equivalent to 0.3 liters / 100 km ( 0.24us galons )

It is a ridiculous savings in 25 hours.

before thinking about buying a 35W bulb led bulb 30W to create xm- l u2 * 3 .

I do not like anything.

h4 bulb gives a uniform light .

The LEDs are areas without electricity . and other areas with excess of brightness.

LED is worse at night .
