Using outdoor remote control outlet as kill switch for EOC?

Just had an idea. I have an '04 Corolla 5-speed that I am starting to hypermile, and now I want to install a kill switch to help with EOC. At first I was thinking of wiring a switch onto the steering wheel, but then I realized that that wouldn't work because I need to be able to, uh, turn it. I was looking at other options, but then I had an idea, and some searching led to the Woods 32555 Outdoor Remote Control Outlet Converter Kit that I would post link to if my post count were high enough.

It's on sale for $13, with a 4.5 star rating from 1,112 reviews.

Could I use this to interrupt the injector ground to shut them off? The remote should be able to be mounted to the steering wheel, and there are separate on and off switches on the remote, so there won't be confusion about whether I'm turning the injectors on or off (I tend to get confused about that sort of thing...)

Oh, and I guess this is my first post, so hey everyone, my name is Jooseppi. The Corolla is my DD. I'll post in the introductions forum soon.
