My northern tool trailer I rebuilt only weighed about 200lb with out the wood sides on it, it holds a ton, limited by the tires.
I sold a trailer a few months ago that I built last year, it weighed around 100lb before I put a heavy duty pressure treated 2x8 wooden deck on it. A thinner deck would have kept the weight pretty close to 120lb. I wasn't even trying to go for light, using 3 inch steel c channel and building it to hold 1,200lb.
