If you're doing 1/8 or 1/4-mile,your power to weight ratio will be the greatest factor in getting ETs down.Or maintaining what you've already got.
Mass is the poison of acceleration.
If you add a second powerplant/powertrain,that additional weight will really cut into your time and exit velocity.
With no aluminum,or lightweight composite body available,it will be hard to cut weight in order to add weight ,while maintaining a constant weight.
