If you add a second powerplant/powertrain,that additional weight will really cut into your time and exit velocity.
With no aluminum,or lightweight composite body available,it will be hard to cut weight in order to add weight ,while maintaining a constant weight.

Oh 2nd engine wouldn't be for speed lol! I would make it dis-connectable so It wont get in the way of the 408
