Can we call it quits on this pipe dream yet? It's never practical to add an extra power plant to a vehicle unless it's individual electric motors mounted on currently non-powered wheels. The idea of removing the second drivetrain for track days is even more crazy considering the work involved. You can have your cake and eat it too when you have a turbo Honda if you can keep your right foot under control and keep out of boost. But a V8 in a truck that weighs this much it's just not possible especially when you are burning extra gas because of the added engine load of the blower...

Leave the race car alone and get a more wallet friendly means of daily transportation. Considering your comment about blowing up the transfer case if you launch in 4wd from your other thread, I'd say you need to start saving pennies for upgraded transmission and transfer case since neither are expected to last very long behind the new engine and you'll still need to get to work work when trans goes boom.

I like dreaming too, but eventually I move my energy to more practical musings.
