I wonder what the benefits over conventional batteries in a stationary environment would be? Weight isn't really a factor, and the size is already a "sunk cost" (their setup accommodates the current batteries). Probably would be capacity that would be the benefit.

Agree with you. Price and benefit compared to what's currently available will be a factor. The bar is not really low either. My current battery bank is now 12 years old and going strong so I'm watching this story with great interest..
