No offense but 5.7 gassers from that era were equally underpowered, sort of a growing pain coming out of the 60's that was cured some time in the 90's by GM.

The 6.2 is good at lumbering along in a bigger vehicle with moderately OK fuel economy.

They are cheap to own, cheap to fix and cheap to increase FE (tires, gears and manual transmission are all that is needed)

They also allow you to use bio-d
