Take a look at the '86 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 and Monte Carlo AeroCoupe.
These GM cars were developed for NASCAR homologation and what they did to the rear windshield (backlight) gave a significant drag reduction,short of going to an actual Kamm roofline.
Something like this would really reduce your road load at highway speeds.
GM did this in 1959.Their notchback was Cd 0.48,while the same car with fastback roof was Cd.0.44.
Chrysler did it in 1968 with their Charger,again,for NASCAR homologation.
Ford did this for 1983.The Thunderbird and Cougar are essentially identical cars with the exception of the roof.The T-bird is Cd 0.35.The Cougar,Cd 0.40.
