Isn't that body style the one that has BETTER aero with the mirrors in place??

To upload pics you can attach them to your post via the paper clip icon in the full screen post. Its right next to the smiley face icon. Otherwise you have to upload the pics to a website like photobucket and copy and paste the "img" code from there into the post.

Take a look at the '86 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 and Monte Carlo AeroCoupe.
These GM cars were developed for NASCAR homologation and what they did to the rear windshield (backlight) gave a significant drag reduction, short of going to an actual Kamm roofline.
Something like this would really reduce your road load at highway speeds.
GM did this in 1959.Their notchback was Cd 0.48,while the same car with fastback roof was Cd.0.44.
Chrysler did it in 1968 with their Charger, again, for NASCAR homologation.
Ford did this for 1983.The Thunderbird and Cougar are essentially identical cars with the exception of the roof. The T-bird is Cd 0.35.The Cougar,Cd 0.40.

Thanks for the info I would love to do a kamm back nothing that goes past the end of the trunk. It doesn't need to be on hinges or anything because I don't use my trunk. I had pizza pans on it but didn't have a way to secure them to my aluminum rims so I'll have to figure that out...

Got the 02 and maf sensors replace plus got my massive oil leak fixed. The leak was caused by oil blowing straight through the oil pressure sender and coming out the electrical plug. the brake lines are needing to be replaced it had a leak in one of the lines so I had to replace part of that line but am planning to do all new stainless lines before I do a belly pan

As a cost cutting measure on the 3800's they use plastic valve covers that get brittle and leak but on rear wheel drive apps such as the camaro they use aluminum valve covers and I just ordered a set off flebay and after I get them I'm switching to mobile 1 0w30

Things took a turn for the worse Tuesday night when I noticed white smoke coming for the exhaust... blown head gasket. So I've spent every non working moment fixing it I replaced every gasket in the top end, cleaned all the valves and lapped them so they all seal now, installed my new valve covers and cleaned every part I removed I'm just about finished and can't wait to see how it runs

Check your intake at the egr port? I push on a pick fairly hard when I do, I'd rather finish one off that's barely holding on while its apart

Ya I got all that cleaned and finished Saturday afternoon and put about 500 miles on it this weekend. I also switched to mobile 1 0W30 I was kind of nervous about putting such thin oil in a motor with 250 thousand miles but it was running 50 psi going down the road and 25 at idle. The fuel mileage was back up to 29.9 without my ultragauge so I can't wait to see what I'll get after it's fixed
