I had yesterday off from work - got Skiddy put back together last night! Seeing her so clean and pretty made me hate the seat covers on the fronts even more than ever!
See what I mean? The front seats with the ugly seat covers- They look like fat grandmas bundled up against the cold wind! I've been looking around the interweb, but I couldn't find anything suitable as a replacement seat or even to donate material for a repair.
I dug thru my contacts and found the info on first wagon I was looking at and gave the dude a call.. He never applied for the lost title, but he'll gladly sell me any parts I might want! SCORE!
I'll be making the 2 1/2 hour pilgrimage tomorrow. From what I gather over the phone, the interior is a match, but the front seats aren't in the best shape. The rear seats, I'm told are in great condition and that's what I'm after tomorrow. Hopefully there's enough material to make something nice. I'll probably grab the dome light since I want dual dome lights - not enough light up front, and there's a cool spot to put one up front molded in place!
Any other ideas on what to grab while I've got the chance? The donor is a 90 or 91, so the fenders aren't going to work, I've already looked at old pics (sucks, I'd love a new driver's side fender)...
In other news, my odometer's stuck. Happened on the way home from work today, got stuck at something like 129999.9 ugh. Good news there is that I got mad at it about a week ago when it was kinda buzzing at in town speeds, and already ordered another whole cluster ($40 delivered!). I figured it was worth it for just the oem speedo/odometer. I'll share more on that when parts come in!
The center piece of Skiddy's bra should be here early next week..
I've got awesome EF Wagon decals that need to go on..
More other news - the "gone full potato" alarm is on it's way to Sterling, along with the remte start module! Yay more wiring
It will be worth it in the end
Thanks,
Victor
