You take care to fill up a 5 gallon solar shower at the top of a mountain pass instead of the bottom of the pass. The extra weight coming down is free energy.
You have to pee, but don't want to make an extra stop to do so, and just hold it until you have to stop to refill the fuel tank.
You contemplate not slowing down for the small animals that run into the road. (Avoided 6 deer, a rabbit, and a coyote on my trip).
These were 3 of the unusual things I thought about on the road trip I just completed.
