KYAEM when...
... You've contemplated adding a list of points to your GPS to let you know ahead of time where to start coasting, kill the engine, etc.

You hide your keys now after your father-in-law kindly came over and started your car 20 min early to warm it up for you on a cold day and it was all you could do to say thanks so much.

+1
I drive by my favorite filling station with the tank warning light on and an indicated remaining range less than my daily commute and think "See ya tomorrow"

you pulse and glide your pancake griddle
I can vouch for this working fantastically for gas stoves, I cannot say whether it works for other types. I began doing this after learning the technique from my brother-in-law for the even heating of the pan reasons, then last Sunday as I was day-dreaming and cooking up some flap-jacks, BAM, it hit me: I was pulse and gliding my gas stove. I only wish it was this easy for vehicular fuel burning appliances (cars).
If you have a heavy iron/steel pancake griddle you can alternate 3/4- to full-throttle (er heat) with engine off coasting (no heat) to provide a more even heating (because the flame is wider) and waste less heating (because you are cooking a full griddle of pancakes with heat only on for partial times) than you would with a medium flame which only heats a small circle in the middle of each burner and is running constantly. (Just warm up the pan on medium to low heat first so you don't warp it and this will work with almost any pan for this type of cooking.)

You take care to fill up a 5 gallon solar shower at the top of a mountain pass instead of the bottom of the pass. The extra weight coming down is free energy.
You have to pee, but don't want to make an extra stop to do so, and just hold it until you have to stop to refill the fuel tank.
You contemplate not slowing down for the small animals that run into the road. (Avoided 6 deer, a rabbit, and a coyote on my trip).
These were 3 of the unusual things I thought about on the road trip I just completed.

I was driving home today, and I began to daydream behind the wheel. I pictured myself driving basjoos's AeroCivic with tufts... people staring, gawking, lean burn on, instant mpg over 100, boat tail looking on point.
Then I pictured the AeroCivic's mods on my own car... and the sheer awesomeness that would be... Before coming back to reality.
YKYAEM if you daydream about driving a AeroCivic lookalike
