This isn't the definition of "bricked" that I know!
I thought if it were truly "bricked", it would be wrecked (meaning: major components needed to be replaced to make it functional again).

cause (an electronic device) to become completely unable to function, typically on a permanent basis.

Top Definition. bricked. To render your computer useless, as useless as a brick. Usually the result of tampering with the insides and doing irreversible damage.

EG: a bricked EV is one where some glitch (or a dumb owner not leaving it plugged in during a very long period sitting parked) causes the high voltage battery pack to drain to zero, which would ruin it.
Like that Tesla left parked for too long.
