The current Jeep Grand Cherokee with optional air suspension rises up to 2 inches for off-roading, and also lowers ~1 inch above ~50 mph. When the system is empty, there is easily another 1-2 inches available. Of course, that takes up ride compliance and gets you dangerous close to jounce bumpers.
