I'm wondering what will happen in 20 or 30 years if you are required to bring your car to the dealership for service. I know if I had driven my Rabbit back to a dealership the mechanics wouldn't know mechanical fuel injection, and I doubt the guys at a Ford dealership would be happy to tune my carb. Technology just keeps getting more complicated and more obsolete, so what will the dealer say when you drive your 2017 Focus to the dealership in 2031?
On a side note, I'm concerned at how many here value fuel economy over total emissions.
