I think you might want something like one of these:
Auto Meter Right Angle Fitting; For Mech Pressure or Vacuum Gauge; Accepts #3 Braided Steel Line UNIVERSAL

This one is for metal line, but perhaps there are plastic "t" style right angle units. Or maybe a modded plastic "t" connector, with one arm of the "t" cut off and plugged well. The right angle start would make a tuck easier.
