The age does the solid state motor drivers no favors.
I thought motor drives pretty much lasted forever and didn't give you to many problems, then I started working on them and learned better then to believe that propaganda.
The sensors only appear to have about a 7 to 10 year life then you get your first ones starting to fail. Most will last longer than that, but not all of them will.
