Poking around that forum, I came across this post:

I can't help but think that in 5 years, when Elio has long since gone bankrupt with no cars delivered, some of those people will need therapy to get over it. It's almost like a religion.

Edit: Good lord--there are multiple threads by people concerned about the resale value of their non-existent Elios.

Edit again: And several peoples' signatures list the options/features of a vehicle they don't own because it hasn't been built.
