Glad you located the part. Lots of people get good results with non-lean-burn Civics that age. A VX drivetrain swap will just be icing on the cake.

There's lots of motorsports crossover here: people with weekend toys who focus on MPG during the week.

Plus there's similarity in the challenge of honing driving skills to squeeze maximum fuel efficiency as there is in getting ever lower lap times.

When you say you're aiming 50 mpg, in what context? What type of usage (speeds, traffic etc.)?
