Don't be so dismissive about magnets. I have used them and experienced unbelievable results.

Last winter my deer blind was destroyed by heavy snow fall. The support rods broke and punctured the outer blind material leaving me with a pile of junk. I realized the blind had some useful pieces left in it. I removed all the unbroken poles and remembered all the magnetic window closures. I began cutting them out and when I had finished I had a stack of magnets. The magnets are 1/4 inch across and are really powerful. I devised a plan to reduce the flow of fuel through a fuel injected engine or a carb either one using my simple magnets. I stacked the magnets and scientifically placed them under my gas pedal. They adhered to the metal shaft that supports the pedal and when depressed would limit pedal travel thereby reducing fuel flow. The gains were significant and repeatable. I soon crafted different performance modes...20 magnets for normal operation, 30 magnets for valet mode, no magnet mode was for track use only. If you want to experience huge economy gains with magnets....simply follow my lead...because I have done it.
