A performance hit that was nonetheless on an engine that developed over 90hp on the dyno, if I recall - a big step up from stock and, as they reported, a helluva lot of fun to drive. The VW they were testing went from your basic slug to peppy bug while delivering excellent mileage, proof that economical doesn't mean slow.
