I hate that. I had my old motorcycle stolen. It was a little rough, but I loved that bike and put a bunch of miles on it.
Manual trannies tend to lose the Input Shaft Bearing (ISB), both of my trannies had that go out. Also, there is a bearing that can go if you run low on fluid that causes third gear to get noisy and start popping out of gear. Autos are also problematic. Honda had widespread issues with tranny failures from '01-'05 Civics and about '99-'04 Accords, Odysseys, and Pilots. There was a big class action lawsuit a while back on it.
I bought mine because of how fond I was of my old '95 EX coupe. Between the two, the '95 was definitely the better car.
