Ha! I understand what you're saying but, sorry to break the news to you - the well-armored H3 suffered no more than a little paint smudge (that
will buff right out) and a slow leak in the passenger front tire. I didn't see it, but the folks in the H3 said their front end actually went airborne over us. My Mazda was immobilized with a cracked open trans (among other things) and the H3 had no problem driving home. I even offered to help the guy change his tire (I had the feeling I'd changed dozens more tires than he had
) but he politely refused and left after all the police details were done.
The 5 was a great little city family vehicle, but it sure wasn't easy on the gas. It's unfortunate that it was Mazda's red headed stepchild in North American markets; they never even updated the engine to the much more efficient Skyactiv 2.5. This is the last year you can buy one here new.
